The Medical Research Institute of New Zealand is a member of Include a Charity.  Include A Charity has been designed to raise awareness of the ease and effectiveness of leaving a gift in your Will.  Its member charities encourage everyday New Zealanders to consider leaving a gift or a bequest to their favourite charity in their Will (not forgetting family and friends first).
 
Gifts in Wills form the foundation of many New Zealand charities.  Without them, many charities simply would not exist.

Donations

We welcome donations to help meet the costs of the research programmes.  The research undertaken to understand and combat diseases requires financial resources in addition to the expertise and dedication of committed researchers. The clinical trials and research work carried out by our scientists is of world-class standard.

If you would like to make a donation, please post your cheque to:

We greatly appreciate all donations.  The income you provide is used to support theInstitute's medical research programmes and is gratefully acknowledged with a letter and receipt.  The Institute would also be pleased to discuss other appropriate forms of acknowledgement if necessary.  The MRINZ is a registered charity, ID CC22439, so all donations over NZ $5 are tax-deductible.  If requested, donors receive will receive updates of research undertaken at the Institute.

Bequests

Your bequest will be effectively used and the resultant benefits will be on-going well beyond your lifetime.  Please consider supporting medical research by leaving the Institute a gift in your Will.

Wording of a conventional bequest: "I give and bequeath to the Medical Research Institute of New Zealand the sum of $...(or description of property and assets) for the general research work (or a specified purpose) of the MRINZ, for which the receipt of the Trust Board shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my trustee/s".  (Please contact your legal advisor for specific wording.)

The financial support we receive from throughout New Zealand and overseas is greatly valued.  If you have any queries regarding support for our medical research, or would like to discuss a specific purpose to which you would like to contribute, please contact:
